At Bob Feil Boats & Motors, proper winterization is one of the most important steps you can take to safeguard your boat through the cold season. Winterization prepares your vessel for freezing temperatures, corrosion risks, and long periods out of the water—protecting engines, cooling systems, plumbing, and more so you’re ready to go next season with confidence. Our experienced marine technicians bring decades of hands-on service expertise to every winterization job. Whether you’re storing your boat on land or preparing it for off-site storage, we can winterize your engine, fuel system, and onboard components using industry-approved techniques and high-quality materials that withstand deep freezes and seasonal transitions.
Preventing freeze damage and corrosion is essential for long-term boat health. Without proper winterization, water left in an engine, cooling system, and plumbing can expand as it freezes, causing internal cracks and costly repairs. Our winterization service protects critical systems by flushing and treating engines with biodegradable antifreeze, stabilizing fuel, and removing moisture so delicate components stay safe through the off-season.

Our proven winterization process includes checking motor fluid levels, treating the fuel with stabilizer and running the motor in our custom tanks to fully flush with marine antifreeze. Wake boats will also get ballast systems drained and pumps treated with antifreeze. Other boats with live wells, sinks, heads, showers, slides or washdown pumps will get those treated with antifreeze to avoid freeze damage, too.
